Gunite is applied pneumatically under pressure directly to the prepared wall surface. The concrete bonds to stone, block, and mortar, filling voids and creating a continuous structural shell across the wall face. This shell restores the wall's load-bearing capacity by adding compressive strength and stopping the moisture infiltration cycle that drives further deterioration. The gunite becomes part of the wall, not a coating over it.
