A retaining wall is an independent structure installed at the base of a slope to catch or hold soil. It does not stop erosion from occurring above it. Gunite slope stabilization bonds directly to the slope face and stops the erosion at the source. It preserves the existing grade, requires no excavation, and addresses the drainage and infiltration cycle driving the erosion rather than intercepting the result of it.
