EcoSpect is the leading local basement waterproofing contractor, serving Syracuse and Rochester families with a sub-floor drainage system engineered specifically to solve basement water problems in our area. Our systems can be designed to meet the needs of any home, regardless of age or size.
If your basement has ever leaked or flooded, then you should consider a quality basement waterproofing system. Without basement waterproofing, water problems never get better, they only get worse. Even if water leaks are uncommon, your home’s air quality can be impacted and your ability to finish your basement is restricted.
EcoSpect’s waterproofing system is a sub-floor drainage system engineered specifically to solve basement water problems effectively without worry of clogging from soils under the floor. Our systems can be designed to meet the needs of any home, regardless of age or size.
We offer a combination of experience and advanced technology. EcoSpect is an Authorized Grate Products™ Certified Contractor which includes exclusive access to the patented innovative products, comprehensive trainings and continued support from the national manufacturing company. We are the only company in the Syracuse and Rochester area offering Grate Products‘ patented basement waterproofing systems, which are distributed worldwide.
Many years of on the job experience have gone into engineering the EcoSpect waterproofing system. We only install closed drainage systems which utilize a wall vapor barrier to direct water down into the sub-floor drainage. Then, our powerful, patented sump pumps pump water out of the home..
When you consider the risks that a wet basement poses to your family’s health, the increased resale value of your home after waterproofing, and the risk of a flooded basement without waterproofing, the decision becomes easy.
Hydrostatic pressure is caused when water pressure builds up outside a foundation. The weight of the water pushes downward until it finds the path of least resistance, and since a basement is nothing but a hole in the ground it is easy to see why it would come in the small seam at the floor / wall seam.
It is usually recommended to discharge the water at least 10 feet or more away from the foundation. We accomplish this by installing an anti-freeze device and a solid pipe out to a yard drain. This pipe is buried underneath the sod and is hardly noticeable.
